Sustainability ensured through the involvement of Key Individuals and Groups in the Community
Sustainable Community Led Solutions
The core ethos of our programs is working with the individuals and groups in the community in such a way that they pick up and run with each of our initiatives. While we will continue to monitor and support them, our main aim is to ensure that the sustainability of each is fully established and then to move on to replicate the process in neighbouring sub-counties.
WE REACH aims to contribute to improving the health and wellbeing of children and young people in local communities using sustainable solutions through knowledge sharing, promoting social accountability, advocacy, economic empowerment, capacity building and collaborative working.
Achieving Sustainability
The sustainability of WE REACH projects is significantly enhanced through working closely with local organisations, groups, and individuals such as:
Local Government Ministries of Education and Health
Head Teachers and School Boards of Management
Teacher Champions
School Health Clubs
School Self-help Groups
Enterprise groups
Sexual Reproductive Health Rights Champions
Local community leaders
Local community groups
Community Health Volunteers (CHVs)
